Chat Grape Hospitality, operator, owner and manager of 112 hotels and 70 restaurants in 8 European countries, has just signed a major agreement with Electra, a European specialist in fast-charging electric vehicles, to continue the transition of its parking lots to electric in Europe. This is an additional service for the Group’s establishments, which become the driving force behind the development of electric power in their region.

FACILITATING ACCESS TO FAST CHARGING

Grape Hospitality will increase its number of kiosks fivefold within a year. A total of 215 stations will be installed by spring 2024. The group will eventually provide 320 charging points across Europe, 80% of them in France.

Electra stations are installed according to an optimized grid, taking into account both traffic figures and existing equipment, with a mix of fast (60% of terminals), medium and conventional charging. Strategic nodes will be equipped with an offer to ensure optimal service and facilitate the use of electric and hybrid vehicles for the greatest number of customers – both near and far. Depending on how traffic develops, the group plans to add further equipment to ensure that it can always offer the best possible experience.

A “GRAPE WE CARE” APPROACH

The deployment of charging stations by Grape Hospitality is part of the Group’s “Grape We Care” CSR strategy, which aims to help managers, employees and customers adopt the right gestures on a daily basis.

“Offering the best possible experience to our customers is obviously essential, but we also want to support as many people as possible in changing their mobility habits, while promoting carbon-free travel. The project with Electra enables us to pursue the approach already initiated within the Group several years ago, by promoting good habits that make sense. In all humility, we are moving step by step towards new consumer behaviors, and every day we are tending a little more towards uses that respect people, animals and the planet.” says Frédéric Josenhans – President of the Grape Hospitality Group.
