Greet Evreux: A cyclo-friendly destination in Normandy

Greet Evreux Centre, the eco-friendly, cyclo-friendly address on Normandy’s most beautiful greenway

Right in the heart of the city, the Greet Evreux Centre hotel, formerly operated under the Ibis Budget brand and acquired in 2021 by the Grape Hospitality group, has been completely transformed after a renovation focused on recycling and upcycling. Greet, Accor’s eco-responsible brand, advocates positive hospitality with an economical accommodation and restaurant offer that promotes consumption that is closer to people and the environment. It’s a positioning that perfectly suits this new address in the center of Evreux, a stopover on the cycle tourism circuit for a stay between town and nature, discovering the Normandy bocage.

A royal home for La Petite Reine

At the Greet Evreux Centre, cyclists are king. The hotel rolls out the red carpet for cyclists, with a secure indoor garage as well as a workshop for repairing, pumping up or giving your bike a bit of a clean. A range of services sure to appeal to those stopping off on the green avenue linking London to Paris.

Green, comfort and design

The hotel’s restaurant, lobby, workshop and library, as well as its 52 rooms, have all been redecorated in line with the Greet philosophy of upcycling, giving a second life to upcycled objects. A bicycle saddle becomes a coat rack, transport crates from event logistics find a second life in the bar, while the table d’hôte combines raw and salvaged materials. The “Pure” rooms feature a minimalist, nature-inspired ambience, while the more spacious and colorful “Pop” rooms invite guests to hop on their bikes for a ride in the fresh air. The reception areas feature natural colors and raw materials, setting the hotel in the heart of nature. For the refurbishment of this establishment, the Grape Hospitality teams worked closely with upcycling experts in the Paris region (Emmaüs Défi, Square Solutions, La Collecterie, etc.) as well as local players such as Cicérone.

“I was keen to respect the DNA of the Greet brand, a very stimulating creative challenge! Developing and sharing with associations is a human adventure rich in encounters and creation.” Anne Balaresque – Design manager Grape Hospitality

A living space open to the city

In keeping with the approach adopted by the other establishments in the Grape Hospitality group, the Greet Evreux Centre aims to be a meeting place for both visiting and local guests, as well as an address integrated into local life. L’Atelier, accessible from the street, is a space where everyone can come to work, tinker, repair their bikes, meet and share ideas. The Grape Bar, open to both in-house and external customers, offers a simple, gourmet menu for a tasty break. The boutique, featuring local producers and brands such as Fournier artisanal juices and ciders and Ferme des Peupliers yoghurts, reinforces the establishment’s reputation as a standard-bearer for the “Made in Normandy” art of living. For a short stay, with the family or on a business trip, the Greet Evreux Centre federates a community of “greeters” who travel in harmony with the local ecosystem. And even if you don’t come to discover the region by calf power, electric cars are also welcome. Two fast-charging stations are available. Whether you’re looking for comfortable bedding, bike repairs or a refreshing shower, the Greet Evreux Centre combines the best of the hotel business with a commitment to sustainable, happy tourism.
